Sponsorship at Uniraid 2024
UNIRAID is a remarkable human solidarity adventure open to university students from Spain, Portugal, and Andorra who share an entrepreneurial and humanitarian spirit. It consists of a 6-day journey across the Moroccan desert in cars that are more than 20 years old, held every February. UNIRAID is not a rally or a speed race -it is an adventure journey where participants must complete 6 stages navigating with a roadbook (not GPS), overcoming all kinds of obstacles, challenges, and tests, with the goal of crossing Morocco from north to south while delivering 40 kg of solidarity material to villages in the desert.
This year, our company sponsored, together with other organisations, a vehicle driven by two students: Miquel Massó y Roc Momplet, both are engineering and industrial design students with a strong passion for motor sports, adventure, and, above all, a genuine humanitarian spirit. As can be seen in the pictures, the challenge also demanded driving and mechanical skills, perseverance, and strong orientation abilities.
The photo report captures some of the difficulties encountered throughout the different stages -especially in the southern Atlas region, the most complex desert area, which truly puts participants’ skills to the test.
Since UNIRAID is not a rally in the strict sense, there is no absolute winner. However, four recognitions are awarded in the categoties of solidarity, navigation, survival, and regularity. The team we proudly sponsored stood out as leaders and winners in navigation, particularly in the desert stages.
